Drought
13th August 2022
As hosepipe bans become imminent, the old village originally flooded to form Errwood reservoir in Buxton has started to poke through to the surface. Walking down to the water's edge was quite strange (especially when I stumbled across a lady sunbathing in the mud...)

The visit to Erwood was an afterthought however. The main event of the day was getting up at 4am to get to Three Shires Head at sunrise (google maps link). It is such a popular spot these days you have to be there very early to not have your photo crawling with hikers.
Starting with a wide shot to give you some context...

and now time to break out the ND filter and get some long exposures going down by the water.

There were many more of these... but I think you get the idea!
After all the fun, the inevitable conclusion was to end up with a full english and a trip around Scriveners book shop in Buxton town.
