Hen Cloud and The Roaches
20th Jan 2023
It's time to bust out the wide angle. Starting off the new year at sunset in the peak district to test out the enormity of shooting at 14mm. It's going to take a bit of getting used to.

Looking over to Hen Cloud from The Roaches @ sunset

1/50s, f/11, ISO80 @ 14mm | Photostack of two images for front-to-back focus.

With great wide angle comes great responsibility. It's very easy to make a photo boring with this type of focal length if you neglect the foreground, like in this next image
Back at Hen Cloud, we've got a perfect example of boring foreground...
Getting a bit better with the next one.
Lovely place for a walk.
Until next time :)
28th January
It's incredible the how different this very same landscape can be less than ten days later.
This time Jim and I chose a very misty afternoon to venture back up the Roaches. Makes me think of Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce in Hound of the Baskervilles!

Colour?

or black and white?
