Eden Easter Escapade
And other stuff down south!
Sunday 26 March
A long drive down south and it was time to head down the harbour and an icecream in Fowey.
Stayed in the Charlestown, a lovely little village near St. Austell with a small beach.
A lovely calming place. Ripe for some long exposures!

At almost nine metres tall and weighing twenty tonnes, ∞ Blue is an immersive installation that pays homage to cyanobacteria, among the world's smallest living beings.

Where of course there is lots of vegetation. It's difficult to take a photo that hasn't already been taken a hundred times, but here we go anyway...
There's also some interesting non-vegtation based stuff too.

Cheddar!
Home to a beautiful mosaic landscape, along with two of Britain’s oldest showcaves, Cheddar is home to England's largest gorge. With spectacular Pinnacles and beautiful caves, it truly is a natural gem just waiting to be discovered.
Except when it rains and pours and mists up just when you decide to visit that is...
Opposite is a great walk along the clifftops (details), which (I assume) gives fantastic views of the gorge and surrounding area! It was VERY slippy though and would only recommend doing it clockwise.

Behold the splendour of the gorge!

Gough's Cave
The cave is 115m deep and is 3.4 km long, and contains a variety of large chambers and rock formations. It contains the Cheddar Yeo, the largest underground river system in Britain. Wiki Link.
